Founded in 2018, Lake County’s African American Museum is housed in the historic England Manor in Waukegan. Founder and Executive Director Sylvia England joins Podcast Lake County to highlight African American stories, expand on the often-limited history taught in schools, and share remarkable discoveries uncovered within the home, originally built in 1859.
