With 14 participating colleges and universities, the University Center of Lake County provides opportunities for students and adult learners to complete their degree locally and graduate from recognized educational institutions. Dr. Myra Gaytan Morales, Executive Director and Dean, highlights how the University Center creates a convenient academic environment while offering financial advantages that make higher education more accessible. Through flexible programs, students who have already earned first- and second-year credits can continue their educational journey by pursuing certificates, bachelor’s degrees, and advanced educational credentials closer to home.

Dr. Carlotta Roman, Chair of the Lake County Workforce Development Board, provides a high-level overview of how her organization is helping to keep Lake County residents employed and businesses competitive. Through strong collaboration with community partners and advisory groups, the Lake County Workforce Development Board and the Job Center of Lake County offer numerous ways for businesses to engage.
